Demystifying Parkinson Disease
Our club in association with Rotary Club of Mangalore Mid-Town and Mangalore Sunrise organised a joint meeting on 4th September, 2023 at Eden Sports Club, Mangalore. The topic for the evening was ‘Demystifying Parkinson’s Disease.’ Hariprasad & Mamta, Husband & Wife Duo were the Speakers for the day. Hariprasad, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in the year 2008. He underwent Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), a neurosurgical procedure in the year 2015 and since then he is managing the disease quite comfortably. The Husband & Wife duo are on a mission to spread awareness about the disease and are traveling across India and abroad by road to create awareness by speaking to patient groups, physician groups, caretaker groups etc
