CB Ramkumar, an extremely erudite and passionate speaker, had us enthralled this afternoon. Calling him an advocate of sustainable tourism does no credit to all that he appears to have achieved throughout his life.He so eloquently took us through the journey of his life, with stories that made it all so real for us. From a ‘normal’ professional life to being inspired to ‘run marathons’ for a cause; understanding the true pressures and pain of a poor farmer couple, to the crippling cycle of life that shrouds the young of migrant worker families.
This journey has clearly inspired him to become what he is today, a warrior for the environment, for the underprivileged, and the ‘unspoken for’. He then went on to challenge each one of us to dig deep into our conscience, to think about what would be the legacy we leave behind.
